Initial Conception:

Eva Online is a band from Auckland, New Zealand, which was started by two South African born friends Marc Chemaly and
Marc Thompson in 2006 after some constant reminders of "When the fuck are you going to make some new music Son!?" from one to the other. Both being avid fans of bands with the 'Industrial' sound such as Frontline Assembly and Skinny Puppy. The pair started writing songs from that time onward.

Pre-History:

In early 2003 the youngish trio of Greg Burrows, Marc Chemaly and Nigel Brookes decided to put together a band named ‘The Syndicate’.

Having very little experience with electronics as well as music caused the pair to feel disillusioned once they saw how awesome NUTE was when they played in Auckland that year. However, the group felt the urge not to give up. Greg left in October of that year. Nigel and Marc continued to write and recorded a couple of songs. The pair played two gigs in 2004 and then quickly disbanded, as both of them felt they wanted to move onto something else.

2008:

Eva Online release 5 songs from their debut EP ‘Scavenger’ for free online March 31st 2008 from their website.

Currently the band are getting ready to unleash themselves onstage in 2008 as well as releasing their first installment ‘Scavenger’ on CD which will include extra songs.
